TYONNA SNOW HONORED AS FIRST WILDCAT FEMALE PROFESSIONAL ATHLETE

Blue Springs High School added its first jersey of a female professional athlete to the Wildcat Walk this week. The display highlights several past and present pro athletes and Tyonna Lynnee’ Snow, a 2012 BSHS grad, is the latest to have her jersey on display as a member of Forssan Alku, a top women’s professional basketball team

GIRLS BASKETBALL ENDS SEASON WITH CLOSE PLAYOFF LOSS

The Girls Basketball Team finished their season on Wednesday night with a loss in the playoffs against Camdenton, 56-49.  Sy’Miah Smith led the way for the Wildcats with 13 points while Aliyah Bello and Jayla Sample each scored 12. The Girls Basketball Team completes their season with a 12-14 record and district championship. GIRLS BASKETBALL UPSETS ROCK BRIDGE TO WIN DISTRICT CHAMPIONSHIP

The Girls Basketball Team defeated Columbia Rock Bridge 52-34.  Blue Springs came into this game as an underdog with Rock Bridge having won 4 of the last 6 Class 5 State Championships.  The Cats were led by a well-balanced scoring attack of Jayla Sample (17 points), Reggie Kangawa (14 points), and Alliyah Bello (14 points).
