The Blue Springs Football Team continued their run to another state championship by defeating the Jefferson City Jays 46-23 on Friday night to advance to the second round of the playoffs.
Quarterback Chase Donohoe had arguably his finest performance of the year. Donohoe threw 3 touchdowns and 11 receptions on 17 attempts, passing for 152 yards. TE Caleb Marquez had 2 of those TD receptions while WR Tre Wheaton had the other touchdown catch. Aveion Baily led the Wildcats’ rushing attack with 136 yards and a touchdown. Nick Wood and Caleb Marquez also had a rushing touchdown on the evening.
The Wildcat Football Team continues their postseason run next Friday at home against Fort Zummwalt West at Peve Stadium. The game is expected to begin at 7:00pm and will be live-streamed by the BSHS student-body.
