Boys Junior Varsity Swimming, Boys Varsity Swimming · SWIM/DIVE UPDATE – SENIOR NIGHT PREVIEW

CoMo Invite

The Blue Springs Boys Swim Team had a very successful showing at the CoMo Invite over the weekend.  The Wildcats were led by point scoring performances from Josiah Thomson, Ethan Gutierrez, Alex Harkness, Tim Schweizer, Cogan Davis, Sam Aubuchon, Ryan Urfer, Arren Jett, and Jake Hubbard.

The Wildcats had over 90% best times over the weekend.  The Cats got the meet started off on the right note when Jesse Burton, Derek Banta, Joe Davis, Parker Reed, and Brady Delk combined to drop over 1:00 in their individual 200 Freestyles.  Cogan Davis had a big meet, continuing his progress in the 100 Backstroke by bringing his time down to :58.2 and dropping 5 seconds in the 200 IM.

Senior Night

The Wildcats continue their season tonight against Liberty and Liberty North High School.  Liberty High School is one of the favorites to win the MSHSAA State Championship this year, while Liberty North will likely score in the top 10.  Both teams should provide the Cats’ their toughest test of the season.

The Swim/Dive program will be honoring their seniors tonight.  Captains Jake Hubbard, Zach Raines, Ryan Urfer, and Shaun Van Hoesen have all punched their ticket to the MSHSAA State Championship and are joined by Garrett Delk, Parker Reed, Seth Sims, and Riley Smith to give Coach Bigham a strong Senior Class in his first season.
